For over thirty years Judge Roger Vinson has served the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. He was appointed to the post by President Ronald Reagan. Vinson held the position of Chief Judge from 1997 to 2004 and has been a Senior Judge since 2005. In addition to his district judgeship, he also serves on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
